I wanted to see how much of that country I could see. I hadn&#8217;t realized how large it is. My research (source: <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Area_and_population_of_European_countries\" title=\"Size of E.U. Countries\">Wikipedia<\/a>)showed that Germany is over 13% larger than New Mexico (source: <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_U.S._states_and_territories_by_area\" title=\"U.S. state sizes\">Wikipedia<\/a>). That got me thinking about how various European countries compared with U.S. states.  Here is that comparison:<\/p>\n<p>[table id=2 \/]<\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<p>There are 10 E.U. nations larger than New Mexico? Wow. Of course, I have to question the &#8220;European&#8221; status of Kazakhstan&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Interesting stuff for weirdos like me.<\/p>\n<p><i>Note<\/i>: I tried to enter the table in HTML.
